Canada Considers Restrictions on Sales of Equipment to Turkish Drone Manufacturers: Ambassador
On April 26, Armenian Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan received the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Canada to Armenia, Ms. Allison Marie Le Clerc (based in Moscow), and the military attaché of the embassy, Colonel Craig Foulis (also based in Moscow).
During the meeting, issues related to regional security were discussed. The defense minister provided details on the military operations unleashed against Artsakh and the situation created after their conclusion, highlighting the new security threats that have emerged in the region.
Ms. Le Clerc informed that Canada is seriously studying the issue of restrictions on the sale of Canadian equipment to Turkish companies producing drones, aiming to prevent such cases in the future.
The interlocutors also discussed other matters of mutual interest.
