I Should Have a Lavish Wedding, You Shouldn't – Gagik Tsarukyan to Journalist

“These are just rumors, unnecessary talks, don't take them seriously.” This was stated by Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, during a conversation with journalists while addressing reports about a possible coalition with the ruling party.

Regarding the discussions surrounding his son's wedding ceremony, Tsarukyan said, “Tsarukyan is ready to answer anyone, regardless of everything,” adding, “I have not said this until today, but I want to say it. When the war started, Tsarukyan was in the fortress, I sent 3 million dollars to Artsakh for our army’s strength, but those spreading rumors do not talk about this,” he stated, noting that he knows who these rumor-mongers are and that they attend weddings as well.

When it comes to the lavishness of the wedding, Tsarukyan said, “I should have a lavish one, you can have a little one; you can’t do it like me, every person has their own capabilities.” He mentioned that it is the children who decided to organize their wedding. According to him, those spreading news about his son's wedding are seeking to gain dividends.

Touching on the upcoming snap elections, he first stated that they should fight against the division of the people into 'black' and 'white', stressing that such things should not be allowed. “The nation is one, the people are one; we cannot divide them into 'black' and 'white',” he said, adding that he is going to win.

Gagik Tsarukyan emphasized the importance of recognizing the Armenian Genocide, stating that Turkey is our enemy.
