Demonstration in Meghri in Support of Arrested Mayor

A demonstration is taking place in Meghri in support of the arrested mayor. It should be noted that the mayor of Meghri, Mkhitar Zakaryan, has been charged under Article 258, Part 3, Subsections 1, 2, and 5 of the RA Criminal Code (hooliganism).

Recall that on April 21, in response to protests against Nikol Pashinyan in Syunik, 16 individuals were arrested, including Meghri's mayor Mkhitar Zakaryan, deputy mayor Arman Sargsyan, and Goriss's deputy mayor Menua Hovsepyan. Later, Menua Hovsepyan was released, as the court recognized his arrest as illegal.
