Most Issues Concerning Citizens Fall Outside the Jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense, Urges Specificity: MoD

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has displayed contact information for officials handling inquiries related to casualties, captives, and missing persons from the war that broke out on September 27, 2020, at its administrative complex's checkpoint. Additionally, the Ministry offers active hotlines through the "Hotline" service and the General Staff's "Trust Line," as well as an email address to facilitate communication.

The Armenian Armed Forces' General Staff regularly organizes receptions for the relatives of individuals considered captured or missing. The Ministry of Defense is empathetic and diligent in addressing the raised concerns. However, it should be noted that most of the issues troubling citizens are social and legal in nature and lie outside the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense. We urge our citizens to be specific and to consult the Ministry of Defense regarding matters within its authority.
