Mayor of Meghri Mikitar Zakaryan Arrested

At this very moment, the Mayor of Meghri, Mikitar Zakaryan, is being arrested, stated Vahe Hakobyan, former governor of Syunik and president of the 'Reviving Armenia' party, during a conversation with journalists in front of the Investigative Committee.

“They are bringing charges of hooliganism, which is absolutely absurd. This is the result of the repressive machinery of the government, which is trying to break our spirit; it will not succeed,” Hakobyan noted.

He said a rally is being organized today at 18:30 near the statue of Aram Manukyan, where they will decide on further actions.
