Pashinyan Holds Meeting in Syunik Regional Administration

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is holding a meeting at the Syunik Regional Administration building. According to Armenpress, several high-ranking officials are participating in the consultation. Present at the meeting in Kapan are Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Suren Papikyan, Director of the NSS Armen Abazyan, Police Chief Vahe Ghazaryan, Governor Melikset Poghosyan, deputies to the governor, and other officials. Also present is the commander of the 4th Army Corps, Major General Artak Budaghyan.

It should be noted that on April 20, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan secretly traveled to Syunik Province. Information about his visit was kept confidential, with security forces being informed just moments before, and even the traffic police were only notified half an hour prior that they should escort the prime minister. Last night, Pashinyan visited the Shurnukh community. Reports in the media indicate that residents greeted him with discontent and coldness. Today, he was met in Agarak, Meghri, and also Kapan with insults and protest actions.

It is worth mentioning that just a day prior, there were unexpected changes in the Syunik police leadership, including the police chief and his deputy, as well as the police chiefs of Goris and Kapan. With the exception of one community, leaders of all communities in Syunik have publicly demanded Pashinyan's resignation.
