Criminal Case Initiated in Relation to the Death of Soldier Narek Khachatryan Transferred to Investigative Committee

On April 20, 2021, the criminal case regarding the death of mandatory military serviceman Narek Sevaki Khachatryan, initiated by the Kapan Military Police Department under Article 360.1 of the RA Criminal Code (bringing a serviceman to suicide through negligence), has been transferred to the jurisdiction of the Military Investigative Main Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

As reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee, an investigation is underway. Necessary investigative and procedural actions are being undertaken to ensure a comprehensive, complete, and objective examination of the case.
