Syunik Governor and Community Leaders Unaware of Nikol Pashinyan's Visit

The Governor of Syunik, Melikset Poghosyan, is unaware of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's planned visit to the Syunik region. Poghosyan made this statement in an interview with 'Factinfo.'

It is noteworthy that today, media outlets have circulated information that Pashinyan intends to visit Syunik secretly, and his motorcade has already passed Artashat, while a large contingent of special forces has reached Vayk to forcefully open the way should the residents of Syunik decide once again to prevent his entry into the region.

The Syunik governor confirmed that he has not received any documents or information regarding Pashinyan's possible visit. The mayors of Kapan and Meghri, Gevorg Parsyan and Mkhitar Zakaryan, are also unaware of the visit. In their interview with 'Factinfo,' the community leaders stated they have no information about the visit.

When asked if the Meghri community leader would meet Pashinyan if he were to visit, Zakaryan responded, 'I prefer not to answer hypothetical questions.'
