Sevan Penitentiary Officers Discover Packages Concealed with Drugs

On April 20, 2021, at around 06:20, officers of the Sevan penitentiary facility of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia discovered a concealed package during a routine patrol in the area, behind one of the residential buildings.

This information was provided by the Public Relations Department of the Armenian Ministry of Justice’s Penitentiary Service. Upon inspection, the package was found to contain substances resembling methamphetamine, weighing 0.7 grams, as well as marijuana-like substances weighing 5.4 grams and 1.7 grams, along with a mobile phone.

Materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and a forensic chemical examination has been appointed.
