Police Chief of Syunik Region, His Deputy, and Goris Police Chief Dismissed

The Chief of Police of Armenia, Vahe Ghazaryan, has carried out a series of personnel changes in Syunik region. In a conversation with Tert.am, the Deputy Head of the Police Information Department, Edgar Janoyan, stated that the police chief of Syunik region, one of his deputies, and the chief of police of Goris have been dismissed, and new appointments have also taken place.

"By the order of the Chief of Police of Armenia, Vahe Ghazaryan, the police chief of Syunik region, Alexander Hakobyan, has been dismissed and sent to the reserve. From the personnel reserve, Alik Mamikonyan has been appointed as the new police chief of Syunik. The deputy chief of the police of Syunik region, David Hovhannisyan, has also been dismissed, and he has been replaced by the head of the Kapan division, Zorik Vardanyan," Edgar Janoyan said.

When asked who replaced the head of the Kapan division, the deputy head of the Police Information Department stated that Aram Davtyan has been appointed as the head of Kapan division.

"The Chief of Police of Goris, Serge Markosyan, has also been dismissed and sent to the reserve, and he has been replaced by Alen Karapetyan, who is registered in the personnel reserve," said Edgar Janoyan.
