Criminal Case Launched Over Mercedes Arson, Suspect Identified, Negotiations Underway with Victim

The Vardenis division of the police has opened a criminal case under Article 185, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code (intentional destruction or damage to property), as reported by Shamshyan.com.

The criminal case was initiated on April 9 concerning the arson of a Mercedes 600 vehicle bearing license plate number 64 VV 600, which belongs to resident Lilith Aydyan of Vardenis.

According to the website, the case has been forwarded to the Vardenis investigative division of the Gegharkunik region’s investigative committee of Armenia, and there is a suspect identified, who is also a resident of Vardenis. Reports indicate that individuals are negotiating with the victim's family, promising to compensate for the damages, provided that the complaint is withdrawn from the police.
