57% of COVID-19 Deaths in Armenia Registered Among Males, 43% Among Females – Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health has released statistics on COVID-19 mortality rates categorized by gender and age. From April 2020 to April 20, 2021, there were a total of 3,898 reported deaths due to the coronavirus disease. Specifically, 3,045 deaths were recorded between April and December 2020, while from January to April 20, 2021, there were 853 deaths.

Of the reported COVID-19 deaths, 57% were among males, whereas 43% were among females. Among individuals under the age of 18, there was one recorded death. Additionally, among those aged 63 and older, there were 3,034 deaths, which accounts for 76% of the total deaths.
