1000 Apartments to Be Commissioned in Stepanakert in the Next Two Years: Arayik Harutyunyan
On April 19, President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan visited construction sites in Stepanakert to familiarize himself with the works on new multi-apartment buildings. The president participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for a new 157-apartment building on Tumanian Street, which is expected to be ready for commissioning within two years.
Within the same timeframe, the construction of a complex with 191 apartments in the Artsakh district, a 70-apartment building on Knunyants Street, a high-rise with 171 apartments on Vardan Mamigonian Street, and 218 apartments in a new neighborhood on Tigran Mets Street will also be completed.
President Harutyunyan discussed with the Minister of Urban Development, the Mayor of Stepanakert, and representatives from construction companies several issues regarding the progress of the works, giving instructions aimed at completing the projects within the designated timelines.
"The primary beneficiaries of the residential construction programs in the capital are residents displaced from the cities of Shushi and Hadrut, as well as several social groups. The goal is to provide them with housing as soon as possible," the president stated.
The first housing commitment ceremonies in Stepanakert are expected to take place by the end of the year. Builders have informed the president that in a few months, they will hand over a building with 29 apartments on Arakelyan Street, a 108-apartment building on Tumanian Street, and a new neighborhood with 153 apartments near the Spayk area.
