Working Consultation Held for RA Ministry of Defense, Armed Forces, and General Staff Leadership
On April 16, a working consultation was held at the Administrative Complex of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, involving the leadership of the Ministry, the Armed Forces, and the General Staff.
Before addressing the agenda items, RA Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan introduced the newly appointed First Deputy Chief of the RA Armed Forces General Staff, Major General Arshak Karapetyan. Appreciating his professional knowledge, experience, and service path within the armed forces, the defense minister wished Arshak Karapetyan success and effective work in this important position.
During the consultation, the main issues faced by the armed forces in the post-war period were discussed, including measures aimed at strengthening the army's combat readiness and discipline, as well as the results of the work being carried out in military units in this regard.
The issues related to the morale and psychological state of personnel after the completion of the 44-day war, the process of granting leaves to servicemen, the organization of everyday service in military units, and various issues pertaining to security measures during combat duty on the frontline were addressed.
In response to the issues raised, the RA Minister of Defense, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, provided a series of instructions and assignments, outlining the main directions for future work.
