Political Forces in the Trash Heap Were Digging Trenches Behind the Government, Says MP

The MP from the "My Step" faction, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, during the discussion of the report on the results of the Government's program implementation for 2020, advised to consider what the outcomes and developments could have been if the government had not committed to the reform process since 2018.

“What would happen if there were no drastic changes in military strategy, no changes in the doctrine, no increase in military funding, if reforms had not been implemented? Has anyone answered these questions? I am sure we did our utmost under the most challenging conditions. Let's understand that during wartime we did not experience hyperinflation, food security issues, a sharp decline in the currency, in other words, we did not face economic collapse.

The course of the war was difficult, but I am confident that the armed forces tried to do their best. It should be noted that at the hottest moment of the war, treacherous forces were digging trenches behind the government, intending to turn our national tragedy into a playing card and throw down the gauntlet to us. And these are the forces that have found themselves in the political graveyard, people who have governed the country for decades yet remain stateless, who dare to blame their own state for provoking the war,” said the MP.
