New Working Group of MPs on Prisoners’ Issues to be Confirmed on Monday

On Monday, the issue of forming a new working group on prisoners’ issues will be discussed in a working procedure. Vardan Atabekyan, a member of the National Assembly, informed Factinfo about this, noting that the initiative to form the group has been put forward by independent MPs Vardan Atabekyan, Anna Grigoryan, and Taguhi Tovmasyan.

It is noteworthy that all three MPs were previously members of the ‘My Step’ faction but ceased collaboration with the ruling force after Nikol Pashinyan signed the act of capitulation.

“We have discussed the issue of creating a working group with independent MPs and Boris Avagyan, the special representative of the President of Artsakh, who, together with Rustam Muradov, is dealing with the return of Armenian prisoners of war,” said Atabekyan.

An invitation to join the working group has been sent to all MPs, and currently, two more independent MPs have responded positively to the offer. The final composition of the group is expected to be clarified on Monday.

According to the MP, the group will focus on clarifying the lists of prisoners and addressing various issues related to their return.
