Mher Mkrtchyan Comments on Pressure Regarding 'Authority' Film Screening
Mher Mkrtchyan, the director of the film 'Authority', has stated that he is unaware of any pressures regarding the screening of his film. He specifically mentioned, “I do not have any evidence of pressure, nor has any representative of the authorities contacted me directly.”
This statement was made in response to a report by the Telegram channel 'Mediaport', which claimed that Alen Simonyan had called theaters urging them not to show Mkrtchyan's film.
The director expressed his apologies to journalists via a Facebook post, stating that he does not have the opportunity to answer their calls today. “I apologize, I am unable to respond to your calls today, and I also cannot comment on Mediaport's material regarding the calls made or not made by Alen Simonyan to the theaters about 'Authority',” he added.
