Hotel Expenses Covered by Georgian Side: Clarification from the Office of the President of Armenia
The Public Relations Department of the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia has responded to reports circulated by certain media outlets regarding the hotel expenses of the President of Armenia during his visit to Georgia. Below is the statement released by the Public Relations Department:
“In response to the blatantly false and misleading information circulated by some media outlets, we feel it necessary to announce that the President of the Republic is on an official visit to Georgia, and as is customary during official visits, the hotel expenses of the president are covered by the inviting party. We once again urge to refrain from deliberately spreading absolutely false information and misleading the public.”
Some media outlets reported that President Armen Sarkissian is staying in the royal suite of the Biltmore Hotel in Tbilisi, which costs 2,000 USD per night, noting that this is a waste of state funds.
