Any Information Regarding National Security Has No Right to Be Published or Subject to Discussion: Hayk Chobanyan
Any information regarding national security has no right to be published or subject to discussion.
Today, during a conversation with journalists, the Minister of High-Tech Industry Hayk Chobanyan stated this in response to a question about whether the publication of the Security Council's recording is also dangerous from an informational perspective, considering that we are in a constant information war with Azerbaijan.
“Since my appointment as minister, I fundamentally believe that there are topics in our field, particularly security and defense industry topics, that should be absolutely closed off. Any information regarding national security has no right to be published, much less be subject to discussion,” he emphasized.
The minister simultaneously stated that the doors of the ministry are open to everyone, and the relevant departments that deal with these issues are ready to pay special attention to and discuss any proposals or initiatives.
“We need to significantly improve the level of information security, information literacy, and culture if we actually want to win,” he stressed.
When asked what legacy Hakob Arshakyan left him, Chobanyan replied that building a ministry from scratch is not easy, and with his arrival, a new phase of development for the ministry began.
Addressing the upcoming elections, the minister noted, “There is quite a significant emotional and political background in the republic today, which hinders the country's development and will also be influenced by the elections. I hope that after the elections, we will calm down and focus on our work.”
