Zohrapyan Demands Disclosure of General Behind the Lele Tepe Operation

Member of the Prosperous Armenia faction, Naira Zohrapyan, demands that the name of the general who organized the Lele Tepe operation be disclosed. "Let them reveal the immoral general's name who organized the Lele Tepe PR show just for the sake of a status update. Hundreds of children died. Therefore, that general should now be arrested and held criminally accountable," she stated during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly.

She added that according to her information, the operation was not coordinated by Movses Hakobyan. However, the MP did not violate the presumption of innocence regarding another general.

Referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s speech during the Q&A session with the government in the National Assembly yesterday, Zohrapyan stated that Pashinyan has already started his pre-election campaign. "He tried to cover all the issues that would be raised during the campaign with lies and manipulations. He thought he had precluded those questions. But with yesterday's statements, he has put himself in yet another deadlock," noted the MP.

Zohrapyan raised a question: if, according to Pashinyan, Onik Gasparyan lied and did not make the statement mentioned in the Security Council meeting, then why was Gasparyan not held accountable for the false statement? "If the country's supreme commander acknowledges that he knew for 44 days that our generals were cowardly and traitorous, then he shares all the responsibility for cowardice, betrayal, and treason because he himself was the country’s supreme commander during the war," said Zohrapyan.
