Journalist Ani Gevorgyan Summoned to Police and Filed a Complaint: Edgar Janoyan
Journalist Ani Gevorgyan has filed a complaint with the police. Regarding the complaint, Edgar Janoyan, the deputy head of the information department of the Armenian police, told Tert.am that the police received the publications from the Prosecutor's Office and have initiated proceedings.
“The journalist has been summoned to the Yerevan department of the police and has filed a complaint. The circumstances are being clarified, and materials are being prepared,” said Edgar Janoyan.
It should be noted that Tert.am journalist Ani Gevorgyan made a post indicating that due to her professional activities, a photo of her child was published, along with insults and threats.
The Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan has also reacted to the publications that threatened the journalist and her child, sending a letter to the police in this regard. Several journalists, political figures, and organizations have also commented on the publications and condemned them.
