Armenians Are Carrying Out Agricultural Work in Fields Cleared of Explosive Hazards

The Russian Ministry of Defense reports that Russian peacekeepers are ensuring the safety of agricultural work in fields located immediately adjacent to the delimitation line in Artsakh. Local Armenians are conducting agricultural activities in fields that have been cleared of explosive hazards by Russian deminers.

“The harvesting is almost complete. This year, thanks to the peacekeepers, it was organized without interruptions. We were able to regulate the relationships between the two sides and agree that the harvest would proceed smoothly near the contact line. We hope that by autumn, the local population will receive a deserving and good yield thanks to our efforts,” said Sergey Zhurin, deputy commander of the Russian peacekeeping force.

The Russian Ministry of Defense also reports that since November 23, 2020, Russian peacekeepers have cleared 1,960 hectares of land in Artsakh, discovering and deactivating approximately 25,500 explosive hazards.
