You as Prime Minister Should at Least Try to Restrain Your Colleagues: The Deputy Reprimanded the Prime Minister for Applause
During a Q&A session with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the National Assembly, Gor Gevorgyan, an independent deputy who left the 'My Step' faction, expressed his embarrassment over the applause that had just occurred in the Assembly.
It is noteworthy that the deputies of 'My Step' spontaneously applauded Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan while he was presenting a report on the implementation and results of the 2020 Government program from the podium.
"We have thousands of casualties, captives, and still unburied bodies. As Prime Minister, you should at least try to restrain your colleagues," Gevorgyan stated.
Then, Gor Gevorgyan posed a question regarding Onik Gasparyan's announcement and the need to stop the war, but the Prime Minister did not respond to the independent deputy's questions, stating, "If you are ashamed of the fact that the parliamentary majority believes in the future of Armenia and Artsakh, that is your problem. Your expression about your colleagues is very symbolic. How did you come to sit here, where did you come from, who are you? I don't think it is necessary to respond to your questions," after which the ruling party deputies applauded again.
"If you say your team, you have no right to ask questions while sitting there. Yes, we applaud the people who believe in the future of Armenia and Artsakh, and we humbly commemorate our martyrs. Stop your cheap antics; remember where you came from and how. Quickly put yourself in self-reflection," Pashinyan concluded.
