The Only MP from the ‘My Step’ Faction, Mkhtiar Hayrapetyan, Did Not Stand or Clap for the Prime Minister
Following Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's speech today, members and ministers of the My Step faction spontaneously applauded him. Independent MPs and opposition members did not clap or stand up.
Among them was Mkhtiar Hayrapetyan, the only MP from the My Step faction who did not rise or applaud.
Reporters at the National Assembly asked Hayrapetyan why he did not stand or clap, questioning whether this was a step towards distancing himself from the team or if he disagreed with them. However, he did not answer the question and quickly left the session hall.
