Parents of Captured Soldiers Block Entrance to Shirak Regional Administration, Staff Spend Night in Building
The parents and relatives of 62 soldiers and volunteers from Shirak region, who were captured in Khzraberd, continue to block the entrance to the Shirak Regional Administration. The staff have spent the entire night inside the administration building, only allowing women to leave. As of late evening and now, negotiations are still ongoing.
Araksya Karapetyan, an employee of the information and public relations department of the Shirak Regional Administration, stated in an interview with Auroranews: “They are demanding a meeting with the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense through the mediation of the Shirak Governor, arguing that their previous meetings with the country's leadership and military officials have been unproductive over the past six months.”
