Is There a Poem About the Number and Fate of the Missing? Minasyan's Response to Pashinyan's Quatrain
It is interesting to ponder whether there exists a poem that could explain the secrecy behind the number of casualties seven months after the end of the war, wrote Mikael Minasian, the former Armenian Ambassador to the Holy See, on his Facebook page.
“Is there a poem about the number and fate of the missing? Perhaps a novel about the body parts of soldiers kept in refrigerators? And what about the stories of our brothers’ bodies rotting in the forests? Is there a novel that could ease the pain of the captives? And most importantly, why are we writing this story of shame and disgrace with our blood and tears?” - wrote Mikael Minasian.
It is worth noting that today, in Parliament, responding to the statements from the President of Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that one should fill with compassion towards people who exhibit such behavior instead of aggression and revenge, and then recited a quatrain: “I do not hate you, I pity you, Just as people pity the mad creature hurling insults from the dark cage of a deranged mind.”
