After this conflict, there's not a period but merely a comma, and we must live by a new agenda, says MP

I hope that the statements of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev are merely bluster and that he has no claims on Armenian territories; we too must fight and move forward. This was stated by Mikhail Melkumyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia faction and chairman of the National Assembly’s permanent commission on regional and Eurasian integration, during a parliamentary session.

“I want to believe that after this painful defeat, after this conflict, a period has not been set but merely a comma has been placed, and we must live by a new agenda so that we can straighten our backbone, although it does not seem that we are living by a new agenda,” said Melkumyan.

The MP also informed that he will be going to Strasbourg soon, where he will raise serious issues. “I want to set serious demands on the institutions that are not responding to this situation, when a member of the Council of Europe is abducting citizens of another member state; this is simply absurd,” he noted.
