Rustam Muradov to Continue Work on the Return of Armenian Prisoners from Azerbaijan, Says Kopirkin
The return of Armenian prisoners from Azerbaijan is a priority for both the Russian leadership and the peacekeeping force, said Sergey Kopirkin, the Russian ambassador to Armenia, in a conversation with journalists.
"Persistent efforts are being undertaken," he stated.
When asked whether Rustam Muradov, the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces in Artsakh, would continue to work on the return of Armenian prisoners, the Russian ambassador responded, "I am confident that he will."
Kopirkin also noted that it is difficult for him to comment on the Azerbaijani side's statement that there are no longer Armenian military prisoners in Azerbaijan. "As far as I understand, the work continues," added Kopirkin.
