It Was Also Very Important for All Political Forces to Demand What Was Logical and Very Important – Marukyan

The war has been over for 5 months now, but our proposal to create a parity fact-finding commission has received no response. This was stated by Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the 'Bright Armenia' faction, on his Facebook page.

'Initially, it was said that the government was not against the establishment of a commission. Later, it was announced that our proposal to create a fact-finding group by government decision was unconstitutional. Subsequently, we drafted a bill and handed it directly to the Prime Minister. However, we have yet to receive any response.'

Moreover, there are reports that during the last meeting between the Prime Minister and the generals, the Prime Minister assured that there would be no investigation and urged them not to worry, as long as they do not oppose his government. He indicated that existing shortcomings would be discussed in a closed format and would move forward.

This means we can officially state that the government is unable to answer for the nation-destroying consequences of its incompetent handling of the war. It was also very important for all political forces to jointly demand what was logical and very important, but many other forces did not express a clear position.' While a deep and comprehensive study of the war would not only provide the opportunity to hold accountable those responsible but also to learn lessons and make correct decisions regarding our strategy, arms management, resource allocation, negotiations, and other essential areas moving forward.

Not knowing where we went wrong, we will not be able to avoid similar catastrophes in the future.
