European MP Should Be Responsible for Individual Prisoners of War, Suggests Ashotyan

Our diplomacy is dead; no one cares about the issue of our prisoners of war. This was stated today, April 12, at a press conference by the Vice President of the Republican Party, Armen Ashotyan.

“I have a proposal on how to engage the international community to pressure Azerbaijan regarding the issue of prisoners of war. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and parliamentary diplomacy are impotent and traitorous, which is why our theme of prisoners of war has not become a pressure point on Azerbaijan. That pressure is absent. I have titled my proposal, my project, ‘One MP for One Prisoner of War.’ Each prisoner of war's name should be attached to a European or Russian MP who is willing to help us. We have information regarding prisoners of war with the Human Rights Defender and others. We need to connect every prisoner of war's fate to an MP to say that a European MP is responsible for a specific prisoner of war—from the button-up to all other issues,” Ashotyan stated.
