Pashinyan Will Not Meet Today with Relatives of Captured Shiraz Soldiers

Relatives of captured Shiraz soldiers, who today blocked the Gyumri-Yerevan highway, will not meet with the Prime Minister. Earlier, a relative of one of the captives mentioned that they would only unblock the road after receiving precise and comprehensive information about the return of their loved ones.

Relatives of the captives from Shirak province had appealed to the Prime Minister of Armenia, the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Chief of Police, and all members of the National Assembly to expedite the resolution of the issue of the return of the captives.

MP Sophia Hovsepian announced today in a conversation with reporters near the Ministry of Defense that all of Shirak province is paralyzed; the parents of the captured soldiers demand a meeting with Nikol Pashinyan, while a meeting with the head of the National Security Service is currently planned.

One of the relatives of the captured soldiers informed "Factorinfo" that there will be no meeting with Pashinyan today, despite prior arrangements that Nikol Pashinyan would meet with the families of the soldiers on April 9. The time for the previously agreed meeting has changed several times.

According to sources, the Prime Minister was supposed to meet with the relatives after 17:00 today. However, after the relatives of the soldiers were met with contempt, they blocked the roads leading to Shirak in the morning, demanding that the Prime Minister go to Shirak for the meeting.
