Gagik Jhangiryan Wins in European Court

Gagik Jhangiryan, a member of the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia, has won a case in the European Court after fighting for his rights. The state has awarded him a substantial amount as compensation for his violated rights. According to the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd', Jhangiryan received the funds from the state yesterday and immediately went to the Rehabilitation Center for Defenders of the Homeland. He personally handed two million drams to the center's director, Haikuhy Minasian, promising to donate more funds shortly for the individual treatment of patients at the center.

This situation highlights the consequences faced by our country due to the actions of several judges, investigators, and prosecutors, leading to a loss in the European Court. In addition to the shameful defeat, the Armenian government has been forced to compensate Jhangiryan for his violated rights using taxpayer money from the national budget. It is reassuring that at least these funds have reached wounded and amputated soldiers,” the paper writes.
