Alashkert's Bus Unable to Reach Gyumri, Match Against Shirak Delayed by 1 Hour
The football match between Gyumri's Shirak and Yerevan's Alashkert in the 19th round of the Armenian Premier League has been postponed by one hour, reports the press service of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA).
The Alashkert bus cannot enter Gyumri due to roadblocks set up by the relatives of prisoners of war from the 44-day Artsakh War, protesting the situation.
“Given that the bus transporting the Alashkert football team to Gyumri for the match against Shirak in the VBET Armenian Premier League's 19th round cannot enter the city due to the blockage of the road, the start of the Shirak-Alashkert match is delayed by 1 hour. The FFA will provide additional information regarding the situation,” states the FFA's announcement.
The Shirak-Alashkert match is scheduled to take place today, April 9, in Gyumri. The game will start at 16:00 instead of the originally planned 15:00.
