Temperature Will Decrease by 10-12 Degrees from April 10

The wave of warm air that has penetrated from the Arabian Peninsula has caused an anomalously high temperature background in the republic. The Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center reports that such high temperatures in Armenia were last observed in 1975 during the first decade of April.

On April 7, the highest temperature was recorded in Meghri at +29 degrees Celsius, while the Ararat Valley reached up to +26 degrees. However, according to the forecast, today and tomorrow temperatures in the Syunik valleys will be +30 to +32 degrees, and in the Ararat Valley and Yerevan, temperatures will range from +27 to +29 degrees, which is 8 to 10 degrees above the climatic norm.

But starting from April 10, the warm air wave will be disrupted in Armenia, making way for a cyclone approaching from the Black Sea.

From April 10-14, significant areas of the regions, especially in the afternoons, are expected to experience short bursts of rainy thunderstorms. Wind gusts during thunderstorms may reach 20-25 m/s.

The decrease in air temperature will begin on April 10, and between April 10-13, the temperature across the entire republic will drop by 10-12 degrees, approaching the climatic norm.
