Karen Avagyan Wins Small Gold Medal in Snatch

On the competitive day of the European Weightlifting Championship taking place in Moscow, two representatives from Armenia, Andranik Karapetyan and Karen Avagyan, took to the platform in the 89 kg weight category. In the snatch event, Avagyan won the gold medal, while Karapetyan secured the bronze.

Andranik Karapetyan achieved a result of 170 kg but was unable to lift the 175 kg barbell in his third attempt. Karen Avagyan claimed the small gold medal by successfully lifting 175 kg. The clean and jerk event will commence shortly.
