If Armenia Requests, Russia Does Not Rule Out Supplying Drones to Armenia

Russia and Armenia are fully implementing their military-technical cooperation program. This information was provided to TASS by Valeriya Reshetnikova, the press secretary of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia.

“In the field of military-technical cooperation, Armenia continues to remain one of our traditional partners. According to the agreements signed between the two countries previously, all supplies are being carried out on time and in full,” Reshetnikova stated.

According to her, military-technical cooperation between the countries will continue in an established manner. “As for the possibility of signing new agreements, the processing of such issues will be implemented programmatically,” she added.

The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia does not rule out the possibility of supplying Russian drones to Armenia, Reshetnikova noted.

“Today we offer a number of UAVs for export, specifically the Orion-E continuous flight reconnaissance complex. If there are appropriate requests from the Armenian side, we are ready to consider them in accordance with the established procedure,” Reshetnikova said.

The Orion is a medium-altitude, long-endurance unmanned aerial complex with a maximum takeoff weight of 1 ton and a maximum payload weight of 200 kg. Currently, the drone is being offered for export in the aerial reconnaissance variant. At the same time, the strike variant of the complex is supplied to the Russian Armed Forces.
