First Batch of Russian 'Sputnik V' Vaccine Arrives in Armenia
The first batch of the Russian 'Sputnik V' vaccine has been delivered to Armenia. 'Today, we welcomed the first batch of the 'Sputnik V' vaccine, purchased by the Armenian side. It consists of 15,000 doses which will be directed towards vaccinating at-risk groups in the population,' stated Pavel Kurochkin, an advisor at the Russian Embassy in Yerevan.
It is worth noting that during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on April 7, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan mentioned that Armenia needs more than 1 million doses of 'Sputnik V'. President Putin highlighted that while the number of people wishing to get vaccinated in Russia is increasing, the corresponding quantity of the vaccine is also being produced.
'So we will discuss this issue,' said Putin.
