Violent Dispute Over Maskless Entry Into Store Continues Outside, Investigation Committee Reports

An investigation has revealed that a 30-year-old resident of Vanadzor, along with friends, engaged in a collective assault against a victim, delivering random blows to various parts of the victim's body. The assault involved the use of hands, feet, and even a stone, intentionally causing serious bodily harm that posed a threat to the victim's life. Afterward, the assailants escaped the scene in a BMW vehicle belonging to the victim.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has provided further details on this incident, which involved a fierce argument between the 30-year-old Vanadzor resident, unidentified individuals, and the store owner concerning entry without a mask. The confrontation escalated outside the store, along the side of the building.

According to the investigation, the group of individuals acted in concert, deliberately coordinating their actions. As a result of the injuries sustained by the victim, charges have been filed under Article 112, Part 2, Clause 6 of the Armenian Criminal Code against the 30-year-old man. He is currently being held in custody, with the court allowing the possibility of alternative measures, such as bail.

The pre-trial investigation has concluded, and the case file has been sent to court with an accusatory conclusion. Proceedings for the other individuals involved in the incident have been suspended in accordance with Article 31, Part 1, Clause 1 of the Armenian Criminal Procedure Code.
