Pashinyan Agrees with Putin on Intensified Work for Prisoners' Return
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has agreed with Russian President Vladimir Putin to carry out more intensive work on the return of Armenian prisoners from Azerbaijan during their recent meeting. This information was provided by the press office of the Prime Minister of Armenia.
Pashinyan made this announcement during a meeting with several dozen members of the Armenian Lawyers' Association in Moscow on April 7. According to the sources, in response to a question regarding the return of prisoners, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of fully implementing Clause 8 of the trilateral statement issued on November 9 of last year, which stipulates the exchange of prisoners of war, hostages, and other detained individuals, as well as the bodies of the deceased.
The Prime Minister highlighted that there is a complete understanding with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the return of prisoners, and shared opinions on fully realizing the agreements in this direction are aligned. According to Nikol Pashinyan, they have agreed to carry out even more intensive work regarding the prisoners' return.
