Defense Minister Visits Injured Soldiers

On April 7, Republic of Armenia Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan, along with Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Defense and Security Andranik Kocharyan and Head of the Armed Forces Medical Directorate, Colonel Sahak Ohanyan, visited the "Astghik" Medical Center.

The head of the defense agency was briefed on the health status and treatment progress of soldiers who sustained severe injuries during the war that erupted on September 27 and are currently recovering at the medical center.

During discussions with the medical center's leadership and treating physicians, the issue of organizing treatment abroad for conscript soldier Hayk Zakaryan, who suffered severe shrapnel wounds, was addressed. Vagharshak Harutyunyan emphasized the necessity of doing everything possible to save the soldier's life and provided clear instructions and assignments to the Head of the Armed Forces Medical Directorate regarding the prompt resolution of the matter.
