Citizen Attempts to Smuggle Hashish Oil and Marijuana into Armenia on Washington-Doha-Yerevan Flight, Announces State Revenue Committee
The State Revenue Committee's anti-smuggling department continues its efforts to combat the illegal transportation of drugs and psychotropic substances across the borders of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the SRC, recently, in collaboration with the employees of the Western Customs House, the anti-smuggling department staff inspected the luggage of a citizen, A.P., arriving in Armenia on a Washington-Doha-Yerevan flight at the customs control zone of the Zvartnots Airport arrival hall.
During the inspection, in addition to personal belongings, the luggage contained 56 vials of a dark green substance with a sharp odor resembling hashish oil, and 5 plastic vials and a box containing a dark green substance that appeared to be marijuana.
A criminal case has been initiated at the SRC Investigation Department under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
