1 Billion 750 Million Drams Allocated from Government Reserve Fund to the Ministry of Health
By the government's decision, a redistribution has been made in the 2021 State Budget of the Republic of Armenia to allocate 1 billion 750 million drams to the Ministry of Health for the prevention, control, treatment, and implementation of other complex measures regarding the coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the first half of 2021, financed from the government reserve fund as provided in the 2021 state budget.
The projects implemented with this funding are expected to include measures to eliminate and reduce the impact of harmful and dangerous environmental factors on the human body, combat manageable infectious diseases, ensure the sanitary-epidemiological safety of the population, and the population's perception of infectious diseases, as well as to provide the necessary quantity of blood, blood components, and blood products in the republic. Additionally, it will support the prevention, control, treatment, and implementation of other complex measures regarding the coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
As of April 7, at 11:00 AM, a total of 198,898 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed, of which 178,227 have recovered, and 3,647 have led to death. Currently, 16,088 patients are receiving treatment for coronavirus infection. In total, 884,929 tests have been conducted. Yesterday, 4,639 tests were performed, resulting in 1,025 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 24 new deaths.
