Prosthetics for Soldiers with Disabilities is a Priority: Avinyan
Prosthetics for soldiers with disabilities is one of our main priorities, wrote Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan on his Facebook page.
“Together with the Government, the Armenia All-Armenian Fund, and several charitable organizations and individuals, 2 billion 357 million AMD will be allocated.
A total of 59 medical prostheses have already been provided to 54 individuals who have undergone lower limb amputations. Mult-functional myoelectric prosthetics will be implemented for 15 individuals using functional Ilimb prostheses from the Icelandic company Össur-Island.
Through home visits, the prosthetics and professional guidance needs of 113 soldiers have been assessed.
A special procedure has been established for the prosthetics of individuals injured as a result of military operations,” wrote the deputy prime minister.
