HDP Still Has No Decision on Participating in Elections with Robert Kocharyan
A rally of the "Homeland Salvation Movement" is taking place in the square adjacent to the Suren Zakaryan Cultural Palace in Sevan.
According to Armenpress, Vazgen Manukyan, the unified candidate of the movement for Prime Minister, stated during his speech that Armenia has powerful allies, one of the most important being the Russian Federation.
"Our allies also include the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People's Republic of China. Our movement has the following proposal: the current government must step down, a temporary government should be formed, and during this time, we will understand which path we are going to take, and some things will be restored. After some time, elections will be held, and the people will decide whom to elect as president," noted Vazgen Manukyan.
In response to a journalist's question about whether the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (HDP) would form a coalition with the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, the coordinator of the "Homeland Salvation Movement," Ishkhan Saghatelyan, did not provide a clear answer. "The HDP still has no decision. As soon as there is one, we will definitely announce it," Saghatelyan mentioned.
Also present at the rally was General and Deputy Minister Seyran Ohanyan, a member of the movement. "Since the 44-day war in Artsakh, we have had quite serious discussions about the current situation in Artsakh and Armenia. This situation is concerning not only in Yerevan and Artsakh but also in the regions of Armenia. Our people have the opportunity to express their views under the idea of balanced territorial development and to ensure the development of their country," stated Ohanyan.
