Armenia Has Always Advocated for Unconditional Normalization of Relations with Turkey - Pashinyan

The Armenia-Turkey border has been unilaterally closed by Turkey since 1993. Armenia has always advocated for the unconditional normalization of relations with Turkey, but this has been rejected by Turkey itself, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in an interview with Interfax.

According to him, Ankara's hostile policies intensified during Azerbaijan's 44-day aggression against Artsakh. “In particular, Turkey provided direct military and technical assistance to Azerbaijan by deploying foreign armed terrorist fighters to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. In this context, to establish stable peace in the region and restore the economic landscape, Turkey needs to change its aggressive policy towards Armenia,” Pashinyan noted.
