Tigran Avinyan Introduces Newly Appointed Minister Hayk Chobanyan

On April 2, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan visited the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia to introduce the newly appointed minister, Hayk Chobanyan. The deputy prime minister first expressed gratitude to Hakob Arshakyan for his work, noting that he led the process of establishing the Ministry of High-Tech Industry from scratch, creating a state institution.

According to Tigran Avinyan, this was an extremely challenging task, with already recorded successes in innovative sectors. In introducing Hayk Chobanyan, he emphasized that Chobanyan is well acquainted with the field, having served as the director of UIT Expo and founded two technology companies.

Avinyan added that Chobanyan's tenure as the governor of Tavush was effective, expressing confidence that the same efficiency will be maintained in his new position. The Deputy Prime Minister drew special attention to the defense industry as an essential component of resilience and security, stressing that this sector must develop at a significant pace.

He noted that the digitalization strategies developed by the ministry and the ongoing processes in the education sector should also continue actively.

Wishing the newly appointed minister success, Tigran Avinyan expressed hope that the initiatives started by Hakob Arshakyan would successfully continue and that the ministry would achieve heights in its field.

Hayk Chobanyan thanked the government for the trust and opportunity to lead the sector, stating, 'The success of our country is directly linked to intellect, particularly in knowledge-based directions and the high-tech industry.' He pointed out that one of the main guarantees of success is collaboration with all other sectors, while the foundation should be the technological community. 'Human potential and the individual must be the most important subject of our attention, and our entire development program should revolve around them.'
