VIDEO: I Have No Intent to Disclose State Secrets Right Now – Davit Tonoyan

The Chief of the General Staff could not present any report without coordinating with the Minister of Defense. Former Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan stated this during an interview with NEWS.am today, April 2, at the funeral of Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan, referring to the report presented by former Chief of the General Staff Onik Gasparyan during a Security Council meeting on the fourth day of the war, which indicated that it was necessary to cease hostilities.

“The Chief of the General Staff could not present any report without coordinating with me. Security Council meetings contain state secrets, and I have no intent to disclose any state secrets right now. When there is a proper investigation into the consequences of the war, we will receive answers to all the questions regarding its course. I am ready to participate in that investigation,” said Davit Tonoyan.

In response to the journalist’s observation that Shushi, liberated by Commandos, now belongs to the enemy, Tonoyan replied, “Let’s not talk about the actions of the Armed Forces and the moral aspects.”

When asked whether the Iskander was used during the war, Davit Tonoyan responded, “I am not going to disclose state secrets.”
