Discussion on Transit Issues of Armenian Products in Georgia

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has signed a decision to send a delegation to Georgia to discuss the issues arisen during the transit of Armenian products through Georgian territory and to determine possible solutions.

“Guided by Article 7, Part 5 of the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government of the Republic of Armenia:

  1. To send a delegation to Georgia (Tbilisi) from April 5-7, 2021, to discuss issues arisen during the transit of Armenian products (wine, brandy spirit, cigarettes) through Georgian territory and to potentially pre-determine solutions, according to the appendix.
  2. To cover the expenses related to the delegation's mission to Georgia as follows:
    1. For Arman Khojoyan, Armen Khachatryan, Armen Yeghanyan, and Kristine Hambardzumyan from the funds allocated for official foreign missions in the 2021 state budget of the Republic of Armenia.
    2. For Zaruhy Muradyan from the funds of the “Foundation for Viticulture and Winemaking of Armenia.”
    3. To carry out the delegation’s trip to Georgia using the vehicles of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.
  3. The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia is instructed to submit a report on the results of the delegation’s trip to Georgia to the office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia within three days after returning from the mission.
