Flights to Armenia Will Resume from Russian Regions as Russia Reopens Air Traffic with Several Countries

Starting from April 1, Russia will resume air traffic with Germany, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Syria, and Sri Lanka, as reported by the TASS news agency. This decision was made last week by the federal operational headquarters for combating the coronavirus.

According to the headquarters' decision, regular air services will be resumed in a limited format. The majority of flights, by mutual agreement, will be conducted with Germany.

The agency reports that airlines have been granted permission to operate one flight per week from Russian regions to cities in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, and the UAE. Additionally, the list of Russian regions conducting international flights has been expanded by another 13 cities.

However, not all travelers can depart to the mentioned countries. Due to coronavirus restrictions, tourism visits are primarily prohibited. Most of the listed countries allow entry only to diplomats, students holding a visa, or individuals with residency rights.
