Armenia and Russia's Chief of Staff Discuss Security Issues

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, Army General Valery Gerasimov, has held phone conversations with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Lieutenant General Artak Davtyan. This was reported by TASS, citing information from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

During the phone conversation, they discussed issues related to ensuring regional security and conducting peacekeeping operations, as well as the state and prospects of military and military-technical cooperation between Russia and Armenia.

It is noteworthy that on March 31, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Lieutenant General Artak Davtyan, received the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces deployed in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov. During the meeting, they addressed issues of ensuring security and organizing cooperation, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the return of Armenian prisoners of war and the search efforts for the missing.
